Silver Preventative Maintenance Plan

The Silver preventative Maintenance Program is an excellent choice for keeping your gate in optimal condition with four prescheduled maintenance appointments throughout the year. These regular check-ups ensure that your gate is inspected, cleaned, and fine-tuned at key intervals, preventing potential issues before they arise. By addressing wear and tear on a consistent basis, the Silver plan helps to extend the life of your gate and maintain its reliable performance. This plan strikes a balance between thorough upkeep and cost-effectiveness, making it a smart option for property owners who want to ensure their gates stay in top shape without the need for emergency repairs.

The preventative maintenance program will help catch a problem before it becomes a bigger issue. With this plan, we will perform 4 inspections to service the operator and gate. As well as keep you informed of system conditions and any issues that may affect the performance of your gate operator.

  • Diagnostic service calls are discounted outside of your pre-scheduled inspections.


This program will not eliminate all servicing issues related to your gates and gate operator equipment, however, we do expect to decrease the volume of problems significantly. This will be accomplished through 4 pre-scheduled inspections, proper lubrication and adjustments as detailed below:


  1. Thorough inspection of all equipment
  2. Lubrication of all points of friction (hinges, bearings)
  3. Test charging system & batteries for proper voltages
  4. Test battery backup system (if applicable) for proper function
  5. Check fluid levels in gearbox & top off if necessary
  6. Adjust open/close limits if necessary
  7. Test all photo eyes for proper function, clean lenses, & reflectors
  8. Inspect/test all functions of all vehicle loops
  9. Test probe (if applicable) for proper function
  10. Test emergency entry equipment for proper function
  11. Tighten any loose fasteners
  12. Trim any shrubs that are interfering with gate operation
  13. Clean operators & apply pesticide
  14. Clean telephone entry/keypad
  15. Check all bulbs on keypad/telephone entry system
  16. Tighten drive chain (if applicable) & lubricate
  17. Verify all set screws are tight on sprockets
  18. Verify all keys are in keyways
  19. Test manual override for proper operation
  20. Inspect gate for any broken welds or damage
  21. Place service labels on operators
  22. Detailed list of any repairs recommended by our service technician


Should a part require replacement during routine maintenance, we will promptly inform you of the specific component in need of replacement, along with the associated cost.


The cost of the plan is based on the type of gate and the model of the gate operator.
